Santa Rosa Stone is a licensed and bonded fabrication shop that builds custom countertops, showers, fireplaces and BBQ islands, with attention to detail and quality our #1 interest. Owner Glenn Woods has been in the natural stone business since 1984 and opened the shop in 2006. We have been driving down to El Centro, Brawley, Calexico, Imperial and Holtville for years, largely because there is almost no slab fabrication in the Imperial Valley. Every job is cut in our Indio facility, then delivered and installed on time.
Does the Drive Cost You More?
Our rates in El Centro are the same as our rates in Palm Desert. We add a trip charge, and it is on your written bid before you approve anything. We scope Imperial Valley jobs before we schedule them. Some take a couple of hours, others run a full week, and we block whatever the job actually needs instead of squeezing it between two local ones. Nothing gets rushed.

From First Call to Installed Countertop
Every job runs on its own clock. Size, shop load, and material lead time all factor in, so one job might take a week and another five. Whatever the timeline, we work fast and beat the competition on turnaround. We'll field measure or price straight off your plans and measurements. Before we template, your cabinet boxes or vanity need to be in, and your sink needs to be on site or shipped to our shop so we can cut the opening to that exact basin. Cabinets need to be finished by install day. We'll tear out the old tops the same morning the new ones go in whenever the schedule allows, so your kitchen stays in use. We protect your property, keep a clean work space, and ask only that you leave the countertops alone for 48 hours while the adhesive sets.
Choosing Your Slab
Visit our Indio showroom, walk into any slab distributor and look at their inventory, or pick from photos and tell us what you want. We buy mostly from local distributors, although we can purchase from whichever one has your slab. Before we cut, you are welcome to come to the shop and watch us lay your templates on the stone so you can see exactly where the seams will land.
